From March 2017 to present, CrowdHEALTH has been represented in more than 28 conferences. (e.g. GECON 2017, ISCSIC 2017, EMCIS 2017, ICIMTH 2017, DeSE 2017, CeBIT, VLDB, DigEnlight,MIE2018) with workshops ,posters and oral presentations.
The definition of what is a Health Policy may be difficult since it depends on the profile and the experience of who defines it. In the framework of the CrowdHEALTH project, we mainly follow and broaden general definitions by Buse and Smith [Buse et al. 2012, Smith et al.
The main objective of our project is to deliver a secure ICT platform that seamlessly integrates Big Data technologies, providing Data as a Service (DaaS) and a Data Analysis Toolkit.
The multitude of data sources in the healthcare domain highlights a unique opportunity: data to be exploited for effective and targeted policy making, development of personalised medicine, prevention of diseases and health promotion in general.
CrowdHEALTH will deliver a ground-breaking approach reflected in its integral big data platform, which will incorporate techniques addressing the complete data path – i.e. modelling and interpretation, cleaning and collection, automatic interrelation, distributed storage, and real-time analysis of health information.
CrowdHEALTH also introduces the concept of Holistic Health Records to take health information to the next level through the inclusion of additional health determinants (e.g. genomics, nutrition, lifestyle, environment, etc).
This is our first blog post! We are now reaching the 10th month of the CrowdHEALTH project and our compromise is to write in our blog least once per month, to inform about the project’s progresses.
